‘Biomechanics’ (SS3)

The Special Session aim to bring scientists together to discuss and to analysis the different mode of applying mechanical concepts and principles to develop devices, sensors, new materials and techniques that may improve the health system.

  * Topics of the Session:
  • New implant materials such as calcium and magnesium which resemble the natural constituents of human body
  • MEMS supported artificial implants
  • The growth of nano-materials (by implanting its nuclei on the desired surface)both in artificial limbs of dentists implants.
  • Biological Images: morphology, tissue characterization and monitoring.
  • Biomechanics and motor control.
  • Biomechanics in Dentistry.
  • Biotechnology and Signal Processing
  • Health applications of biomaterials.
  • Modeling of physiological systems
  • Musculoskeletal Biomechanics.
  • Rehabilitation.
  • Robotics, Sensors and Assist Devices
  • Technology for surgeries.
  • Vascular systems and bio-heat transfer
  • Bio-degradable materials
